We present a series of comprehensive courses and assessments in Nature Guiding, weapon handling and related qualifications. We will also tailor make courses and workshops for groups on specific topics, such as Waterberg wildflowers (on request and subject to availability).

We conduct practical assessments and training in:

  • FGASA SKS – Wild Flowers
  • SASSETA 10750 – (Outsourced)
  • THETA Assessments (under FGASA accreditation)

Our exclusive 6 month program has a maximum of 10 participants. During this course you will  learn to guide, learn about anti-poaching, visit the Nylsvlei, complete survival components, learn about rifles and shooting (SASSETA), and explore the birdlife of many different areas. We also complete the Trails syllabus, as well as doing the exams.

Our expert lecturers will train you to become the best guide you can be, and work opportunities are always available for successful candidates who do well on the course.

NB! We GUARANTEE paid WORK PLACEMENTS, at the end of the six month course, on a big five game reserve!! (subject to Visa’s for international students)

We also have direct access to a Cape buffalo, White Lions and Nyala breeding project, giving the student firsthand experience with the husbandry of these animals.

NB we also include in our fees the Annual Subs, Registration, Exam fees, Manuals, RPL’s and Moderation fees for FGASA

Our 60 day FGASA level 1 course is designed to conform to the newly restructured FGASA standard. It involves a set curriculum of lectures and lessons, as prescribed by the association, covering a wide range of wildlife subjects. These include the following subjects:

  • Conservation management

As one can imagine this is an incredible learning experience, with two daily bush activities and daily academic lectures, which will all add up to hundreds of hours of learning.

Our course takes place in the Waterberg Mountains of the Limpopo province in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy. We will traverse 23 000 HA of wild bushveld, where lion, brown hyaena, elephant, rhino, giraffe, cheetah and many other wild animals roam free. Hundreds of birds species and plant species, combined with a highly respectable mammal population create and incredible venue for learning about the African bush.
